Signing up early to be a Library Friends member is an annual tradition for lovers of the annual used book sale. The benefit of an early membership is the opportunity to shop the book sale before it opens to the public (or non-members). The first day of our week-long fall sale is Friday, Sept. 23, and is reserved only for Friends of the Library members.
Becoming a Friend of the Library (FOL) is easy. FOL membership forms are available at the circulation desk on the adult side of the library. Memberships begin at $5 for individuals and $10 for families. All proceeds are used to support library programs and purchase items that are needed. The more members give, the more resources the library may offer for children, teens, and adults to use.
The annual fall sale is held in the basement of the Jefferson public library. The sale will continue through Saturday, Oct. 1. More details will follow.
Persons who have books, puzzles, DVD movies, music CDs or audiobooks to donate that are in good to excellent condition can deposit them in the bin in the library entryway. Please call the library at 515-386-2835 to make arrangements for large donations.
